Helping a Mirdif family find the right community, one step at a time

By Mohammed Umar Zakaria · 9 October 2026 · 2 min read

In short: a family from Mirdif came to me wanting a new home, but they weren’t sure where. Four communities, many viewings and a lot of questions later, they chose Arabian Ranches 3, with confidence rather than guesswork.

Where they started

When this family first spoke to me, they knew what they wanted their life to feel like: good schools nearby, more space for the children, and a community they’d enjoy coming home to. What they didn’t know was which part of Dubai would actually give them that.

That uncertainty is exhausting. Every community looks good in its brochure. Every agent says theirs is the one. A decision this big, made on a hunch, is how families end up with a home that looks right on paper and feels wrong six months later.

A long journey, one step at a time

This wasn’t a two-viewing decision, and I didn’t try to make it one. We went through it step by step:

  • Four communities, visited properly: Motor City, Tilal Al Ghaf, Arabian Ranches 3 and Villanova.
  • Market analysis and comparisons for each: prices, what the money actually buys, and how each community fits schools, space and daily life.
  • Every question answered, however many times it came up. Changing your mind is part of choosing well.

Some weeks it felt slow. That was fine. My job wasn’t to get them to sign quickly. It was to help them get it right.

The decision

With everything laid out side by side, the answer became clear to them: Arabian Ranches 3. Not because I pushed it, but because the comparison showed it fitted their family best. Then came the next challenge, getting the right price, which is the next part of their story.

What this shows

Patience is part of the service. When a family is choosing where they’ll live for years, the right answer is worth the extra viewings, the extra questions and the extra weeks. I’d rather walk the journey with a client than rush them into a home they’ll regret.
