In short: a family from the United Kingdom was preparing to move to Dubai. They’d researched everything online and spoken to several brokers, but the information was conflicting and they were afraid of overpaying, or worse, being scammed. I explained how the market really works, step by step, and guided them all the way to the right home and their move-in.
Too much information, not enough clarity
Before they travelled, this family did everything a careful buyer should. They searched online, read everything they could find and contacted several brokers. Instead of getting clearer, it got more confusing. Every conversation gave them different information, much of it not relevant to their situation at all.
Moving countries is stressful enough. Doing it while unsure who to trust is worse. They had real fears: overpaying because they didn’t know the market, and getting scammed in a city they hadn’t lived in yet. When you’re relocating your whole family, those fears are completely understandable.
Starting with understanding, not listings
I was one of the brokers they contacted. Rather than sending them more listings, I started by understanding their situation and explaining how the Dubai market actually works, in plain terms. Then I made them a simple offer: “When you arrive, let me know. Come to my office, and we’ll take it from there.”
Step by step, together
- Clarity first: how the market and the process work, what matters for their situation, and what they could safely ignore.
- Finding what they really wanted: homes that fitted their family and their priorities, not whatever was easiest to sell.
- Protecting them on price: making sure they paid a fair price and didn’t overpay.
- A safe, transparent process: every step explained and every document checked, so there was no room for scams.
- Through to move-in: coordinating everything until they were settled.
The outcome
The family found the home they really wanted, at a fair price, without the process becoming difficult or overwhelming. A move that had felt confusing and risky from the UK became something they could approach with confidence.
What this shows
For families moving from abroad, the hardest part often isn’t finding a property. It’s knowing who and what to trust. My job is to cut through the noise, explain things honestly and take clients by the hand through every step, so they get what they deserve without overpaying or worrying about being misled.
